Why Plant?

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

Witness means: attestation of a fact or event; one that gives evidence; one asked to testify to its having taken place; one who has personal knowledge of something; something serving as evidence or proof.

As Christians, our highest goal in this life is to be WITNESSES of the truths of God- that He loves us, he would move mountains on our behalf, came to earth, died, and rose again to save us.

“Jesus rocked my world in 2012 when he took me in his arms during the darkest season of my life. He rescued me while I sat in an in-patient facility for depression and thoughts of suicide. Before that point I grew up very involved in the local church but very disconnected from Jesus himself. As I attempted to find meaning and purpose in my accomplishments I got farther away from God. Through the course of two years I started to slide down a slope of broken decisions, which let to the idolization of relationships. From that I ended up busted up and lost having made many wrong turns that lead to an abortion with my girlfriend. In the days to follow that decision, I lost my identity and wanted nothing more with this world. Graciously Jesus sent his angels to rescue me while I sat in the hospital. His power was apparent to me through his children, his holy word, and his holy spirit as I sat among the ‘outcasts’ of our society. Jesus spoke to my heart in that desperate moment and changed EVERYTHING. God is now the closest relationship in my life. I talk to him morning, noon, and night and would starve to death without him.”
